Slitting aluminum and steel strip is part of our core business. With this major investment in a highly automated slitting line for aluminum coils, we are further expanding our Sennwald site into a Europe-wide competence and service center for slit strips made from a wide variety of materials.

The high degree of automation in our slitting line results in significantly shorter processing and delivery times. At the same time, the system impresses with exceptional precision and demonstrates versatility in terms of strip thickness and width. The 15-metre-deep sloping pit ensures smooth winding of various strip types.
6 ways you will benefit from the new slitting line
1. Flexibility in strip thicknesses and widths
The new NOBAG system covers an exceptional thickness range from 0.20 to 3.00 mm - a unique offering for machines of this type. In combination with our existing FIMI slitting line, we can produce strip widths from 20 to 1,500 mm.
2. Noticeably shorter processing times and increased production capacity
Thanks to automation, set-up times are significantly reduced. Capacity increases from 5,000 to 10,000 tonnes. With shorter lead times and improved availability, we help you level up your competitive edge.
3. Additional edge processing to meet the highest standards for transformer and coil strip
For specialised applications, such as aluminium strip used in transformer windings and magnetic coils, the edges undergo additional processing. The strips are first trimmed and slit with minimal burr. Then, using the integrated levelling unit, both edges are rolled to eliminate sharp edges.
4. Virtually unlimited variety and flexibility
Ihre Spaltbänder können Sie bei Bedarf ab einer Breite von 100 mm auf Karton- oder Aluminium-Hülsen und/oder mit Papiereinzug für den Oberflächenschutz angeliefert bekommen. Auf einer dritten Anlage können die Coils mit Schutzfolien ausgestattet werden. Profitieren Sie von der Möglichkeit, auch Kleinmengen von 200 kg (bis 1.10 mm) herstellen zu lassen. Für Dicken ab 1.20 mm können Mindestmengen von 300 kg bzw. 500 kg gefertigt werden.

Over 2,000 tonnes of aluminium master coils in stock guarantee maximum availability and quick response to your needs. With our Sennwald site directly connected to the motorway network, you can rely on rapid, efficient deliveries throughout Europe.
6. Processing of large coils - including toll processing
Our new NOBAG slitting line is designed to handle aluminium coils weighing up to 5.5 tonnes, with an outer diameter of up to 1,500 mm and widths of up to 1,300 mm. We’re also happy to process your master coils into high-quality slit coils. Take advantage of our toll processing services. We process your material to your exact specifications, store it safely, and ensure on-time delivery. This way, you benefit from our advanced technology and logistics capabilities, while freeing up your own resources.
